Well game number two was a much better experience. Ethan was a rockstar and played the entire game. He seems hesitant to get in the fray and sometimes distracted by bugs, but at least his attitude was much improved.
Owen on the other hand played for a bit, then had to go potty and then complained that his tummy hurt and eventually went back in and ran around with his hands over his ears...why? Who knows? But at least it is progress. We left and rejoiced in the fact that other kids refused to get out and play this time and our two were actually within the red lines of the soccer field for a good percentage of the time today.
Their poor coach though. Apparently he is used to coaching competitive soccer and had forgotten the joys of the younger age group and seems VERY stressed at how poorly our team is doing. He definitely needs to lighten up though when most of us are celebrating that we managed to score THREE goals. Sure the other team had something like 6, but heck their players looked like they were all 6 and definitely NOT in the 4/5 range. But again, what did we cheer or shout at the beginning? Oh yeah, HAVE FUN! Which is what we definitely tried to do...
