18 months!

Owen turned 18 months at the end of December. He is just so full of energy!! January has been an Owen intensive month. He had tubes put in on the 15th and then got evaluated for his lack of speech on the 22nd. He seems totally undeterred by all of it and is babbling a ton. It is hard to explain, but he really communicates with his eyes and his expressions!! He was cracking up the team of women that evaluated him being quite the social butterfly.

He is trying to transition to one nap a day and is waking his mom VERY early, usually starting his day at 5:35. Luckily this is getting to be a routine so mom is no longer as tired as she was when this trend started.

He loves his brother dearly and wants to do whatever he is doing. Unfortunately Ethan does NOT want him to do what he is doing so we often have a lot of yelling and running around the house with toys!! Truly exasperating at times!

Ethan has started to use a lot of phrases such as, "See you later alligator!" and "Sorry Charlie!" The biggest problem with "Sorry Charlie" is when he goes to apologize to Owen for pushing him he will use it incorrectly saying, "Sorry Charlie Owen." It causes us all a little giggle!!

Potty training is progressing. He is day trained but so far refuses to poop on the potty. He knows that is where poop goes and he knows one day when he does it, he will get a prize. But so far said prize (Annie and Clarabel), has not interested him enough to actually sit and try...
