So we decided to add Kumon into Ethan's routine. He seems to understand how to add, subtract and do math, but he isn't fast about it. Knowing timed math facts are not going away anytime soon, we decided to boost up his skills so his confidence in math didn't wane.
I thought that he might get grumpy, go kicking and screaming, but so far he is very proud of himself. He is staying focused and seems to think it is a big deal that he was picked to participate in this honor. He went for his first official half hour yesterday and then even managed to do some of the homework they ask him to do since we have baseball this week.
They give him a zipper pouch to put his pencils, homework and completed work in. He asked Chris to put his name on it and was just so thrilled. Crossing fingers this helps my little man out...
