As we evacuated Sierra Linda Dr. the first night, this is the fire coming at us with 50 mph winds.
After initial evacuations were complete, part of my team is standing by on Cloverdale Rd., near the Wild Animal Park. The wind made an ash/sand storm.
Video from Cloverdale Rd. I panned 360 degrees to show how much fire surrounded Escondido as the sun came up the next morning.
