Potty Training Round Two

So we tried potty training back in March - didn't really work. Owen wasn't into it, was just a bad experience. So we went back to diapers and pull-ups at school since he expressed more interest there, and just let life continue on as normal.

The problem came that the program that comes and works with Owen really wants to have him trained before they leave us on June 27th. The logic that they can actually help with this process in a little laughable since they are only here for 2 hours a day and will maybe get one opportunity to work with him on potty training during that time. Have I told you that he can stay dry for FOREVER?! Well he can...

So this 3 day weekend we decided to go for it again. Everyone is involved, Chris is home all weekend and Ethan has gotten crackers, juice and even attempted to entertain Owen while he sits on the potty.

So onto the summary....

Saturday, May 24th

• into undies at 6:10


• sat a bunch


• ACCIDENT at 9 am.


• sat a bunch more didn't go before nap, stayed dry during nap until 3:50!! Okay!


• So we knew he needed to go....


• Sat on potty from 4:15-4:45 and FINALLY FULLY PEED ON THE POTTY.


• tried a couple more times, sat for 20 minutes before bed - nothing!

Sunday, May 25th

• woke up at 5:15 talking about pee - too early - changed diaper went back to bed


• up for the day at 6:30 in undies


• Drinking a ton today


• sat on potty 8:30-9:00 and again FULLY PEED ON POTTY.


• so who knows when he will go again, but the promise of CANDY - M&Ms seem to work wonders, also Thomas tatoos....but whatever it takes right?


• sat on potty on own 10-10:30 and 11:30-11:45


• 12:15 minor ACCIDENT


• 12:35 PEED on potty


• Nap 1-3:30


• 3:50 ACCIDENT distracted by playing trains


• 4:30-4:45 chose to sit


• 5:05-5:10 sat and PEED


• 6:00 poop accident - put on potty PEED
